The SW SELPA in collaboration with Greendot Public Schools has developed a variety of Transition resources and tools to support its districts and charters in developing structure to the way that transition services are provided to students with disabilities. The TAPS Committee is facilitated by Christine Suh, and consists of High School Resource Specialists and Transition Instructors, Special Education Coordinators and Program Specialists.
The committee has developed High School Transition Grade Level Benchmarks, an Initial Transition Assessment Rating Scale and a model transition student portfolio. Assessments and curriculum have been piloted and recommendations have been made and are included in the TAPS Manual. These resources are being utilized to ensure that realistic and meaningful post secondary goals are identified for students and that an effective Individual Transition Plan is developed to best serve students. For more information, feel free to contact Christine Suh.
