Learning Disabilities
Do you suspect your child may have a learning disability?
Some questions to ask:
- Does your child get in trouble often for acting up or daydreaming?
- Does your child's teacher describe your child as unmotivated, lazy or inattentive?
- Does your child frequently forget or not turn in homework?
- Does your child feel overwhelmed by the amount of work assigned?
- Does your child have trouble organizing materials and managing time?
These are just some of the questions you can ask to help determine if your child may have a learning disability. A diagnosis would require a complete assessment conducted by a trained professional.
